25/12/11Most of my images are produced in the traditional way, using film and then printed in the darkroom.
I produce a finished print that I like and then scan it on a flatbed scanner (quite a cheap Canon MP480).
The scanned file is then imported into Photoshop Elements, the contrast is adjusted and the image resized.
I may use Photoshop to repair any spots, but that's as far as it goes.
I don't resort to electronic jiggery-pokery to compensate for a badly exposed or badly-printed image. If the print is not right I go back to the darkroom.
